I, Errol Harvey was born and grown up in the district of Cheesefield. From my own experience and through the contact to persons living there I know the needs of the people.

We at the NGO“Center o f Jamaican Culture & Development gUG”have recognized that the people in the district of Cheesefield in North Eastern St Catherine, Jamaica are in urgent need of a post office. It will also serve the people in the surrounding districts and villages, for example Time and Patience, Russell Pen, Byndloss, York Street, Mountain Pass, Palm, Richard Pen, Endfield and Berkshire Hall

Some of the people who live in these areas have to walk over 8 miles to “Linstead Post Office” and then wait in a long line for their letters. Sometimes they come in vain and have to walk the 8 miles journey back home. No one should be going through this agony for a letter, especially the elder ones who are depending on their pension to survive. Let us care for people in the way how people should be treated in the 21stcentury.
